Short Attention Span Research

Stuff I've built...

  • HotelTools.com
Our company's new portal for the hospitality industry.

  • 3D Meatballs in Space! I did most of the artwork and some of the Director programming for these Shockwave 3D online comic books for Blimpie. Get your red/blue glasses from a local Blimpie and get the full 3D effect. It's pretty darn cool. Macromedia loved it so much, they gave us a Gallery entry on their Director site.

  • A screensaver for your PC!
You can download a PC screensaver I made using the shape morphing tools in Flash. It features art I drew with my Wacom tablet, set to music by Michael Hedges. Get the install here.

You can get a freeware screensaver program for Flash movies by visiting Screenweaver.

  • My "BitBet Machine", which creates HTML for use with the BitBet character set.

  • I sometimes build my own TrueType fonts.

  • the Dynamic HTML Poetry Fridge!
Featured in the DHTML Zone Spotlight, this is the online version of those magnetic poetry kits everyone has on their refigerators. (Microsoft IE 4.0+ only)

Stuff that's fun to Play With:

  • Macromedia Flash 4
This thing is really cool. Vector animation now has a brain, and can make decisions about what's going on inside the movie.

  • Photoshop 5.5
I have spent a lot of time using Photoshop 5.5, and I must say that it blows away virtually any web tool I have used so far. This entire site was designed and built using Photoshop 5.5 layouts, which were edited for content using Macromedia Dreamweaver. The fact that your Photoshop file now holds both the image design and the web slicing/HTML info is awesome.

  • Realsoft Real3D version4
I am one of the fortunate ones to be testing Realsoft's Real3D version 4. I can't spill any beans, but look for some images from this package in my 3D portfolio.

  • Fonts by Chank
Chank and the Chank Army crank out some of the coolest fonts anywhere, and some of the really GOOD ones are FREE.

  • Seti@Home
This project is AMAZING. You run a screensaver on your PC, that downloads radio telescope data and performs calculations while your computer sleeps. As of 6/19/99, they had accumulated 13,741 YEARS of free computing time from internet users. Wow.

  • Sonic Foundry "ACID"
This program should be considered a controlled substance, capable of causing severe addictions. The most amazing music program you have ever used. I recently used it to create 2 hours of non-stop techno LIVE on-the-fly at one of our USWeb/CKS parties. I also used ACID to create the music for my Half-Life Remix Project.
